She was born at 2:53 p.m. (pacific), and weighted in at 7 pounds, 11 ounces. Kate's 18.5 inches long -- a petite little thing, just like her mommy.

39 weeks!

These photos were taken by John at Limantour Beach in the Point Reyes National Seashore during my 39th week! I am feeling great -- a little too great to have a baby just yet. No action as of Thursday. I begin my 40th week on Friday. I am due on July 4 but it looks like our little lady will not arrive in time to celebrate our nation's birthday. Here's hoping she makes her appearance soon thereafter!

The baby is term! In theory, Little Swizzle could come at any time but we are not expecting her before her July 4th due date. Still hoping to make her our little patriot — with fireworks just for her!
